Space Simulator
Trying out Space Simulator is well worth it. It is the best and only
simulator that can emulate a levitator mission to the moon. It is the only
simulator that can be piloted in space.
The lunar levitator mission has been iteratively developed to become
now a highly simplified and reliable system. All prototype flying is
first done indoors, as is all emulator and simulator testing. The
magnetoacoustic radio transponder is calibrated outdoors at sea level
before launching can begin.
The mission is flown quasi-automatically from liftoff, 60 degrees above
the horizon heading south, up 500 miles and downrange 250 miles.
There it is piloted until set on course at 5000 miles up. At 15,000
miles from the moon the levitator should be well within its sphere of
influence and using its onboard sensors can feel the gravity well tugging
at it. Using simple line of sight pursuit guidance it can home in, slow
down and go to orbit. This will be demonstrated on SpaceSim.
The ground station can hear a spot of sound moving in the sky and
can measure uplink downlink time delay to guess range and can
measure doppler frequency differential to guess velocity. Antenna
pointing can measure azimuth and elevation. Uplink commands
control a fast throttle and a fast rudder. Fast controls synthesize
airplane, missile and spacecraft control components.

I have owned over 100 flight simulators including STK,
Ascent, Space Simulator, Flight Simulator 95, Janes F-15,
Janes Longbow, Janes 688 Hunter/Killer(submarine). Most
of my collection has been trashed, I have about 30 left.
I'm sending you Space Simulator, the top PC flightsim into
space. NRL & Kirtland were using it as a result of dealing
with them. It came out 1994 and was discontinued 1996.
There is no upgraded version.
